"Wahabi is a word that was raised by the opponents of Shaykh Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab da'wah. In fact, Shaykh rahimahullah preached to purify monotheism from various kinds of shirk. He wanted to eliminate various religious ways other than those guided by our Prophet Muhammad bin Abdillah ﷺ. The purpose of appearing this name is actually to distance and deter people from his da'wah. But this kind of effort does not harm his da'wah."
